Most people use ChatGPT to write paragraphs.
It can write products. Whole ones. Things people pay for.
Here's the 3-prompt chain. It finds a digital product hiding in what you know, writes the entire thing, then writes the listing that sells it. By Sunday you can have something live on Gumroad or Etsy.
PROMPT 1: Find a digital product hiding in what you know
Zero ideas needed. It only asks about you.
You are an idea coach who finds digital product opportunities. Your task is to find a digital product idea.
Before you write, ask me these and wait for my answers:
1. What do you know or could create digitally?
2. Who would buy a digital product from you?
3. What problem would it solve or what would it help them do?
4. What format suits you, like a template, guide, or tool?
Once I answer, generate a few digital product ideas you can make once and sell repeatedly, with who buys each.
Then give me:
- A few digital product ideas
- Who buys each and the problem it solves
- The easiest to create and sell first
Constraints:
- No inventory, sell repeatedly
- Tie each to a real buyer
Deliver the ideas once I answer.PROMPT 2: Build the entire ebook
Use the "easiest to create" idea from prompt 1. After it delivers the outline, just say "write chapter 1" and keep going. An hour later you have a finished product.
You are a content strategist who outlines ebooks that get finished. Your task is to outline an ebook for me.
Before you write, ask me these and wait for my answers:
1. What is the topic and who is it for?
2. What result should the reader reach by the end?
3. Is it a free lead magnet or a paid product?
4. How long do you want it, roughly?
Once I answer, structure it into chapters that build in order, with the point of each chapter and the key sections inside.
Then give me:
- A chapter-by-chapter outline with the goal of each
- The key sections inside each chapter
- A working title with two alternates
Constraints:
- A logical arc from start to result
- No filler chapters
Deliver the outline once I answer.PROMPT 3: Write the listing that sells it
Fill-in-the-blank. Your answers are prompt 2's output. This is the Gumroad or Etsy page.
You are a copywriter who sells digital products on marketplaces. Your task is to write my digital product listing.
My details:
- Digital product: {{your digital product}}
- Result it delivers: {{your result it delivers}}
- Audience: {{who this is for}}
- What they get exactly: {{one line}}
- Delivery or usage: {{how they receive or use it}}
- What buyers would search for it: {{one line}}
Using my details above, write a listing that leads with the outcome, makes the contents and delivery clear, and works in the search terms.
Then give me:
- A searchable title for the digital product
- A description selling the outcome and listing what is included
- A set of relevant keywords
Constraints:
- Sell the outcome, be concrete about contents
- No inflated promises
Deliver the listing.That chain is how I've built every product I sell. Nothing about it is talent. It's structure.

P.S. Run the chain this weekend even if you never buy anything from me. The first time ChatGPT hands you a finished chapter, you'll understand what the other 3,257 prompts are for.
